Severity & Harmony by the Sea
In the design of the restaurant ‘A Marè’, a representative example of renovation of commercial spaces in Liguria, we transformed a restaurant completely destroyed by storm surges into a modern, elegant and welcoming space. Located between the road and the sea, this restaurant has been brought back to life thanks to its minimalist design and careful choice of materials. Grey microcement, the star of the project, covers the floors and walls, creating a uniform surface that amplifies the light and gives depth to the spaces.
Cool Light, Contemporary Aesthetics
The cool lighting, calibrated to enhance the textures of the microcement, helps to create a contemporary, clean and refined atmosphere. The aim was to restore the restaurant’s identity, but with a new spirit: simple lines, natural materials and neutral colours that recall the tones of the sea on winter days. Each element has been designed to harmonise with the coastal landscape, blending perfectly into the Ligurian context.
This project fully embodies the philosophy of Between Art & Design: transforming commercial spaces with a balance between aesthetics and functionality. Our renovation of commercial spaces in Liguria always aim to create unique and durable environments that combine comfort, identity and style. Grigio Mare is proof of how, through contemporary materials such as microcement, a place can be brought back to life and given new meaning.
