Malachite Green

Apartment Renovation in Genoa – Tradition and Colour as a Starting Point

The apartment renovation in Genoa stems from the desire to preserve and enhance the original soul of the house. The Genoese terrazzo floor, with its vintage floral pattern, was restored with delicate polishing and minor touch-ups, restoring the material to its authentic beauty. This element, a symbol of Ligurian craftsmanship, became the leitmotif of the project and blends harmoniously with the new colour choices.

Colour Balance and Contemporary Design

The living area opens onto a large open space that combines the living room and dining room, characterised by shades of green inspired by malachite, the guiding colour of the entire project. The bedrooms, on the other hand, are tinged with blue, creating cosy and relaxing environments. All ceilings, painted in the same colour as the walls but with a darker shade, amplify the depth of the spaces without reducing their perception.

The kitchen plays with refined contrasts: white walls and green and brick furnishings, in perfect harmony with the colours of the floor. Every element is designed to strike a balance between tradition and modernity.
