A striking and striking feature is a plasterboard wall that rises from the floor and follows the ceiling up to the middle of the room: made with an anthracite grey decoration, very material like a sort of rock, it is crossed by recessed rectangular spotlights that recall its shape. Another element with a dry and decisive style is the staircase: very essential, also clad in cement colour, it leads to the sleeping area directly from the hall and accompanies the treads of the steps with small recessed drop-shaped lights.
The entire room has been created with various shades of grey covering the custom-made kitchen, the walls and the ceiling of the open space. The kitchen area is very bright thanks to the colours ranging from the white of the wall units to the dark grey of the worktop and the peninsula table, passing through a cement grey of the walls, backsplash and ceiling. The latter is criss-crossed by LED strips with a cold light, placed in such a way as to give strong dynamism to the entire room. At the centre of the kitchen, like a large concrete stalactite, the extractor hood descends from the ceiling: the presence of clean, square cuts and shapes and “cement blocks”, such as the plasterboard from which the hood itself emerges, create an environment of great strength.
Cement colour covers most of the surfaces with a richly nuanced wall work that gives a variegated and iridescent appearance. The cold tones of light and colour used throughout the flat are diluted by the choice of an oak floor which, with its warm, honeyed tones, balances the atmosphere, immediately making the room cosy. A refined combination therefore, that of greys and oak which is very interesting and immediately makes the open space special.
